BOYS STATE PROGRAM DATES
WELCOME TO THE BOYS STATE APPLICATION
Boys State is the premiere leadership program for young men in the state of Mississippi. Our goal is to allow as many eligible students as possible to attend the Boys State Program. Please read through our Cost and Sponsorship page to learn more about the fees associated with the program and the options that are available to you.
SO, YOU WANT TO BE A DELEGATE?
STEP 1 – Review our information packet and speak with your school counselor or a local American Legion member for assistance.
STEP 2 – Submit your online application using the link below.
STEP 3 – Wait patiently for notification of acceptance.
STEP 4 – Once you receive your acceptance email, print and complete the registration packet that will be attached to your email.
STEP 5 – Submit your completed registration packet by Monday, May 20th, 2024, using the online form linked in your acceptance email.
STEP 6 – Submit your payment of $275 by mailing a check to the Department of Mississippi American Legion Boys State at P.O. Box 688, Jackson, MS 39205. Please mail your payment before May 20th, 2024.
If the cost of attendance is concerning, first contact your local American Legion Post to discuss their ability to cover some or all of the cost. If further assistance is needed, contact local businesses or service organizations. Mississippi Boys State has an expansive network of supporters and alumni will to give support where needed.
